Jesus the Foretold King

The Visit of the Wise Men
Mat 2:1  Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem,
Mat 2:2  saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
Mat 2:3  When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
Mat 2:4  And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.
Mat 2:5  So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:
Mat 2:6  ‘BUT YOU, BETHLEHEM, IN THE LAND OF JUDAH, ARE NOT THE LEAST AMONG THE RULERS OF JUDAH; FOR OUT OF YOU SHALL COME A RULER WHO WILL SHEPHERD MY PEOPLE ISRAEL.’ ”
Mat 2:7  Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared.
Mat 2:8  And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.”
Mat 2:9  When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was.
Mat 2:10  When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
Mat 2:11  And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Mat 2:12  Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.

Prophecy a Son and the Government Being on His Shoulder

Isa 9:6  For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isa 9:7  Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Prophecy of Virgin Bearing a Son

Isa 7:14  Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

The Birth of Jesus Christ
Mat 1:18  Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.
Mat 1:19  Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.
Mat 1:20  But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
Mat 1:21  And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.”
Mat 1:22  So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
Mat 1:23  “BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD, AND BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Birth of Jesus Foretold (Additional Reference)
Luk 1:26  Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
Luk 1:27  to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.
Luk 1:28  And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”
Luk 1:29  But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was.
Luk 1:30  Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
Luk 1:31  And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.
Luk 1:32  He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
Luk 1:33  And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
Luk 1:34  Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”
Luk 1:35  And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

Out of Bethlehem a Ruler will be born

Mic 5:2  “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.”

John testifies that Jesus is this Ruler

Joh 1:6  There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
Joh 1:7  This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.
Joh 1:8  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
Joh 1:9  That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
Joh 1:10  He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
Joh 1:11  He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
Joh 1:12  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
Joh 1:13  who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Joh 1:14  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Joh 1:15  John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ”

Joh 1:29  The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Joh 1:30  This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’
Joh 1:31  I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”
Joh 1:32  And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.
Joh 1:33  I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’
Joh 1:34  And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

The Shepherds and the Angels
Luk 2:8  Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
Luk 2:9  And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.
Luk 2:10  Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
Luk 2:11  For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Luk 2:12  And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
Luk 2:13  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
Luk 2:14  “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
Luk 2:15  So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.”
Luk 2:16  And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.
Luk 2:17  Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.
Luk 2:18  And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
Luk 2:19  But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.

Mankind Sins and Needs a Savior

Gen 2:15  Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
Gen 2:16  And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
Gen 2:17  but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

Isa 59:2  But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.

The Promise of a Savior

Gen 3:11  And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”
Gen 3:12  Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”
Gen 3:13  And the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
Gen 3:14  So the LORD God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life.
Gen 3:15  And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

Man’s Plight Without a Savior

Gen 3:22  Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”—
Gen 3:23  therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
Gen 3:24  So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

Rom 3:23  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Mat 25:41  “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

God’s Covenant with Abraham (Setting the Stage for a Savior)

Gen 12:1  Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.
Gen 12:2  I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
Gen 12:3  I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Abraham and the Covenant of Circumcision
Gen 17:1  When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.
Gen 17:2  And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”
Gen 17:3  Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying:
Gen 17:4  “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.
Gen 17:5  No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.
Gen 17:6  I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.
Gen 17:7  And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.
Gen 17:8  Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”
Gen 17:9  And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.
Gen 17:10  This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised;
Gen 17:11  and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you.
Gen 17:12  He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant.
Gen 17:13  He who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money must be circumcised, and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
Gen 17:14  And the uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.”

God Delivers Israel (Abraham’s People) and Calls them into Covenant

Exo 19:5  Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.
Exo 19:6  And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”
Exo 19:7  So Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before them all these words which the LORD commanded him.
Exo 19:8  Then all the people answered together and said, “All that the LORD has spoken we will do.” So Moses brought back the words of the people to the LORD.
Exo 19:9  And the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I come to you in the thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever.” So Moses told the words of the people to the LORD.
Exo 19:10  Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes.
Exo 19:11  And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the LORD will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.
Exo 19:12  You shall set bounds for the people all around, saying, ‘Take heed to yourselves that you do not go up to the mountain or touch its base. Whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death.
Exo 19:13  Not a hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot with an arrow; whether man or beast, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come near the mountain.”
Exo 19:14  So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.
Exo 19:15  And he said to the people, “Be ready for the third day; do not come near your wives.”
Exo 19:16  Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.
Exo 19:17  And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.
Exo 19:18  Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.
Exo 19:19  And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice.
Exo 19:20  Then the LORD came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And the LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.
Exo 19:21  And the LORD said to Moses, “Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to gaze at the LORD, and many of them perish.
Exo 19:22  Also let the priests who come near the LORD consecrate themselves, lest the LORD break out against them.”
Exo 19:23  But Moses said to the LORD, “The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai; for You warned us, saying, ‘Set bounds around the mountain and consecrate it.’ ”
Exo 19:24  Then the LORD said to him, “Away! Get down and then come up, you and Aaron with you. But do not let the priests and the people break through to come up to the LORD, lest He break out against them.”
Exo 19:25  So Moses went down to the people and spoke to them.

The Ten Commandments
Exo 20:1  And God spoke all these words, saying:
Exo 20:2  “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Exo 20:3  “You shall have no other gods before Me.

Exo 20:18  Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.
Exo 20:19  Then they said to Moses, “You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”
Exo 20:20  And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.”
Exo 20:21  So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.

Exo 21:1  “Now these are the judgments which you shall set before them:

Exo 24:7  Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the LORD has said we will do, and be obedient.”

Exo 24:12  Then the LORD said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.”
Exo 24:13  So Moses arose with his assistant Joshua, and Moses went up to the mountain of God.
Exo 24:14  And he said to the elders, “Wait here for us until we come back to you. Indeed, Aaron and Hur are with you. If any man has a difficulty, let him go to them.”
Exo 24:15  Then Moses went up into the mountain, and a cloud covered the mountain.

The Golden Calf
Exo 32:1  Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”
Exo 32:2  And Aaron said to them, “Break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.”
Exo 32:3  So all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron.
Exo 32:4  And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”
Exo 32:5  So when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow is a feast to the LORD.”
Exo 32:6  Then they rose early on the next day, offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
Exo 32:7  And the LORD said to Moses, “Go, get down! For your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves.
Exo 32:8  They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf, and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, ‘This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!’ ”
Exo 32:9  And the LORD said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people!
Exo 32:10  Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”
Exo 32:11  Then Moses pleaded with the LORD his God, and said: “LORD, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?
Exo 32:12  Why should the Egyptians speak, and say, ‘He brought them out to harm them, to kill them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your fierce wrath, and relent from this harm to Your people.
Exo 32:13  Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Your own self, and said to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’ ”
Exo 32:14  So the LORD relented from the harm which He said He would do to His people.
Exo 32:15  And Moses turned and went down from the mountain, and the two tablets of the Testimony were in his hand. The tablets were written on both sides; on the one side and on the other they were written.
Exo 32:16  Now the tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God engraved on the tablets.
Exo 32:17  And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, “There is a noise of war in the camp.”
Exo 32:18  But he said: “It is not the noise of the shout of victory, Nor the noise of the cry of defeat, But the sound of singing I hear.”
Exo 32:19  So it was, as soon as he came near the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing. So Moses’ anger became hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.
Exo 32:20  Then he took the calf which they had made, burned it in the fire, and ground it to powder; and he scattered it on the water and made the children of Israel drink it.
Exo 32:21  And Moses said to Aaron, “What did this people do to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them?”
Exo 32:22  So Aaron said, “Do not let the anger of my lord become hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.
Exo 32:23  For they said to me, ‘Make us gods that shall go before us; as for this Moses, the man who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.’
Exo 32:24  And I said to them, ‘Whoever has any gold, let them break it off.’ So they gave it to me, and I cast it into the fire, and this calf came out.”
Exo 32:25  Now when Moses saw that the people were unrestrained (for Aaron had not restrained them, to their shame among their enemies),
Exo 32:26  then Moses stood in the entrance of the camp, and said, “Whoever is on the LORD’s side—come to me!” And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him.
Exo 32:27  And he said to them, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘Let every man put his sword on his side, and go in and out from entrance to entrance throughout the camp, and let every man kill his brother, every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.’ ”
Exo 32:28  So the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And about three thousand men of the people fell that day.
Exo 32:29  Then Moses said, “Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD, that He may bestow on you a blessing this day, for every man has opposed his son and his brother.”
Exo 32:30  Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. So now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.”
Exo 32:31  Then Moses returned to the LORD and said, “Oh, these people have committed a great sin, and have made for themselves a god of gold!
Exo 32:32  Yet now, if You will forgive their sin—but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.”
Exo 32:33  And the LORD said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.
Exo 32:34  Now therefore, go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you. Behold, My Angel shall go before you. Nevertheless, in the day when I visit for punishment, I will visit punishment upon them for their sin.”
Exo 32:35  So the LORD plagued the people because of what they did with the calf which Aaron made.

Mosiac Law Atonement for Sin

Exo_29:36  And you shall offer a bull every day as a sin offering for atonement. You shall cleanse the altar when you make atonement for it, and you shall anoint it to sanctify it.

Exo_32:30  Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. So now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.”

Old Covenant: Moses Gave The Law.
New Covenant: Jesus brought Grace and Truth.

Joh 1:16  And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
Joh 1:17  For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Joh 1:18  No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

Listen to the King!

Joh 3:16  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Joh 3:18  “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh 3:19  And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh 3:20  For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
Joh 3:21  But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

Jesus Demonstrates Grace and Truth

Joh 8:1  But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
Joh 8:2  Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them.
Joh 8:3  Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst,
Joh 8:4  they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.
Joh 8:5  Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?”
Joh 8:6  This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.
Joh 8:7  So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”
Joh 8:8  And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.
Joh 8:9  Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Joh 8:10  When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”
Joh 8:11  She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

Jesus Changes Everything

Joh 8:12  Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Joh 14:6  Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Heb 10:10  By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:11  And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
Heb 10:12  But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,
Heb 10:13  from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.
Heb 10:14  For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
Heb 10:15  But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
Heb 10:16  “THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR HEARTS, AND IN THEIR MINDS I WILL WRITE THEM,”
Heb 10:17  then He adds, “THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.”
Heb 10:18  Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

Rom 10:5  For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “THE MAN WHO DOES THOSE THINGS SHALL LIVE BY THEM.”
Rom 10:6  But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, ‘WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above)
Rom 10:7  or, ” ‘WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
Rom 10:8  But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
Rom 10:9  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom 10:10  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Rom 10:11  For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES ON HIM WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME.”
